In light of the concerns of some of our Muslim families, we would like to add some extra eyes on the street and community support for students as they go to and from school on Tuesday, April 3rd. We believe that there is no imminent local threat, but want to ensure that our students feel valued and not alone.
If you are a Syracuse city Muslim family who concerned about your student's safety en route to and from school Tuesday, please fill out this form. It will be confidential and only shared with the team coordinating, and the individual(s) assisting your family.
Please note that we cannot make any promises, and will contact you by phone or Messenger if we are able to match you with someone to assist on Tuesday, April 3rd. We are with you and trust that our community will ensure the safety of our children! The local police, transportation system and school security have been made aware, and assured us they will be vigilant.
Note: This effort is not a program or initiative of Hopeprint, but rather of volunteer citizens from the community. Hopeprint nor the volunteers can assure the safety and security of students of families, nor accept liability for the actions of others.
